Business Development Representative - NAM
We are seeking driven and passionate individuals to join our dynamic team! As a Business Development Representative, you'll collaborate with Marketing, Account Executives, and Sales Leaders, playing a vital role in generating opportunities and cultivating strategic relationships with our prospective customers.

As a member of the Business Development team, your primary focus will be speaking with prospective clients in relation to various products and services enquiries through building rapport, asking defined questions and providing required information. You will engage with prospective customers and convert leads to Discovery Calls and product overview demonstrations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Channel your inner “investigator” your attention to detail will pay off. Use LinkedIn Sales Navigator and other tools to identify new accounts and independently run qualification and discovery calls.
- Develop targeted call lists and manage targeted daily outbound emails and a consistent cadence of calls to targeted accounts.
- Utilize social selling techniques to expand your network and foster strategic relationships.
- Manage marketing-generated leads and other unqualified inquiries.
- Track activities and maintain our CRM when following up with inbound and outbound leads.
- Stay up to date on Orbus product offerings and industry trends.
- Attend company/team meetings, conferences, and other industry-focused events.
Essential:
- Minimum 6 months of professional experience.
- Interest in technology and desire to make it in a sales function. Ability to absorb technical information and communicate this clearly to varied audience.
- Excellent communication, telephone manner, presentation and interpersonal skills
- True hunter mentality / Competitive nature. Motivation to meet tight deadlines and to perform individually whilst working as part of a larger team.
- Analytical approach to day-to-day work.
- Ability to clearly articulate a value proposition to prospective customers.
- Hybrid-work model. Must be based in New York city or surrounding area.
Desirable:
- B2B sales experience in a SaaS or software business preferred but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Pro-active, eager to learn.
- Fearless when it comes to acquisition and prospecting.
- Salesforce CRM experience is a huge advantage!
